Course description:

This is a professional degree program offered jointly by the University of Technology, Sydney (UTS) and the Singapore Institute of Aerospace Engineers (SIAE). This unique degree equips graduates to take advantage of expanding professional opportunities in the fast growing aerospace industry in Singapore and the region. BEngSc graduates have the option of continuing their professional development through studies at UTS leading to a four-year Bachelor of Engineering degree, a five-year Bachelor of Engineering Diploma in Engineering Practice combined award, or combined five-year engineering and business degrees. Alternatively, BEngSc graduates may enter postgraduate courses in engineering and/or business management including Masters in Engineering Management and Masters in Business Administration programs.

Entry requirements:

The basic entry requirements is a polytechnic engineering diploma or equivalent. Students with that qualification may be granted a maximum 96-credit point exemption out of the required 144 credit points for a BEngSc. The typical student getting the maximum advanced standing can expect to complete the course by part-time study in approximately four semesters. Those without a diploma can also be considered based on their performance in other courses and professional experience. Students must also be competent in written and spoken English and the use of basic information technology tools.

Application details:

All application forms can be submitted in person or by post together with 2 passport size photographs and copies and originals of certificates, transcripts and relevant qualifications. A registration fee may be payable upon submission for certain courses.
