Course description:

In this course, students will explore and experience the process and spectrum of furniture design as functional objects of space and interaction expression, cultural icons and symbols of emotions in context of personal, public or commercial environment. Students will develop competencies in analysis, design synthesis, judgment, articulation of concepts and communication of ideas of furniture design. The course includes prototyping, ergonomics and knowledge in industrial fabrication and production, and marketing.

Entry requirements:

Students are required to pass in the admission test/audition. They should have four or more GCE ‘O’ Level credits (A1 - C6) or equivalent excluding English. Students are required to have obtained a grade of C6 or above in the GCE O-level English paper. Students with Institute of Technical Education (ITE) Nitec qualification in any discipline with GPA 2.5 and above may apply.
