Course description:
The objective of the programme is to enable candidates to transfer educational/child developmental theories into practice which provide wide-ranging multi-media and developmentally-appropriate learning experience to young children. It also enables them to be skillful in observation and to apply their knowledge of child development to designing a learning environment that meets the needs of each individual child. The programme helps students to design, implement and evaluate learning environment and activities based on the curriculum framework and desired outcomes of pre-school education.
Entry requirements:
Applicant must be current MOE or MCYS registered teachers with GCE ‘O’ Level credits in three different subjects including English as the first language, and Certificate in Preschool-Teaching or GCE ‘O’ Level credits in five different subjects including English as the first language or a minimum band of 5.5 obtained in IELTS-General Training if applicant does not have a credit in EL1. New teachers should have GCE ‘O’ Level credits in five different subjects including English as the first language.
